We are dedicated to bringing yoga and learning to kids aged one to one hundred and one.

Flying Dragon Yogis was founded by Karen-Anne and Brendan Wong. Karen is an aspiring modern yogi located in Sydney, Australia. Karen’s husband, Brendan, supports her in all aspects of the business from helping her understand invoices to sifting through the philosophical strains of thought constantly running through her head.

Karen has been practicing yoga and pilates for over a decade now. As a child and teenager Karen was a dancer, and can only imagine what her life would have been like if she had been introduced to yoga as a child. Today Karen is passionate about bringing empowerment and laughter to young people’s lives – and doing so through their bodies.

Karen worked for six years at the Art Gallery of New South Wales running after kids from preschool age to tertiary level in the Education Department. Karen is also writing her PhD at the University of Sydney on children who do yoga, and what effect it might have on their relationships and methods of communication. In 2011 Karen qualified as a Vinyasa yoga teacher with BodyMindLife and has continued to train with Bliss Baby Yoga, Birthlight Yoga, and BodyMindLife. Brendan is a Chartered Accountant by trade and big kid by heart.

There have been so many amazing teachers who have influenced Flying Dragon Yogis, we can only begin by sending out enormous thanks and respect to Nicole Goodwin, Heather Moritz, Murray Hatton, Melanie Mclaughlin, Beth Borowsky, Bruce Lee, Gilles Deleuze, Virginia Woolf, W. B. Yeats, Rudyard Kipling, Oscar Wilde and J. K. Rowling.

Flying Dragon Yogis are proud members of Yoga Australia and adhere to their code of ethics.
